Italian sportswear label Ellesse was founded in 1959 by Leonardo Servadio. Unsatisfied by skiwear at the time, Servadio a tailor by trade, decided to design and manufacture his own clothing. Through the decades the brand has branched out into other sports - most notably tennis - but at its core, Ellesse has always maintained that active sportswear needs to be just as cool and fashionable as it is functional. The Piazza Sneaker is inspired by Ellesse's tennis background and features an external heel counter and rubber cupsole. The midfoot is left exposed, for added flexibility and range of motion.
