In 2006 the Nike Air Max 360 became the first shoe in the Air Max line to put feet directly on top of Air without foam in between. The shoe's revolutionary design would pave the way for the next wave of Nike Air Max runners that would eventually bring the brand to 2017's Nike Air Vapormax. Without cages or internal support structures, the Vapormax became the first shoe to truly allow a wearer to run on Air. Today the Nike Air Vapormax 360 combines both shoes to celebrate the continuing legacy of Nike Air.
