Designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1987, the Air Max 1 was the first shoe to feature a visibile Air-Sole unit. Inspired by the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the idea was originally so radical it almost got Hatfield fired. Fast forward thirty years later, and Nike Air Max technology is still at the forefront of the industry. The Curry Pack originally released in 2003, was part of what many considered to be the Golden Age of Air Max 1s. The retro versions stay true to the originals with reworked shapes and materials.
Suede and mesh upppers with tonal suede accents and Nike branding. Polyurethane midsole with visible Air Max unit for lightweight cushioning. Waffle pattern outsole adds durable traction. Shoes come with extra laces and original-Style Air Max box.
