Air Jordan V Retro OG ‘Black Metallic’ Releasing 7/23
In 1990, the Air Jordan V released, and along with it technological aspects that can still be seen in basketball shoes today. The shoe featured an asymmetrical ankle collar for fit and freedom of movement, along with mesh panels on the side and tongue for maximum ventilation. Black synthetic nubuck anchored the upper for durable but soft support, and encapsulated Air units cushioned the heel and forefoot. The V, was also noted for its striking design cues like the 3M reflective tongue, and WWII fighter plane inspired “teeth” on the midsole.
For the first time since 2000, the Air Jordan V returns truest to that OG form of 1990. “Remastered” to match the original design aspects the Air Jordan V Retro OG ‘Black Metallic’ releases this Saturday 7/23.
